I retained Ms. Ashkin for an entertainment contract for a major television network deal. I was not at all familiar with the incredibly difficult wording of these contracts.
I was ready to sign the contract without counsel. That would have been a complete disaster. I wanted the TV deal and all that seemed to be coming with it. People told me to get Roberta to look at the contract. I am happy to say she saved me from the million pitfalls elegantly worded in their proposed contract.
